Possible Itinerary:

Day 1

Early morning arrival to Buenos Aires. Meet with our representative who’s waiting to greet you. Ground transfer from international airport to the domestic airport followed by a commercial flight to Santiago del Estero.

You will be picked up by our staff at Santiago del Estero airport, 1 hour away from the lodge.

You’ve made it to the lodge!

Now have a gourmet dinner followed by a goodnight’s sleep at your comfortable suite in the lodge.

Day 2-4

Experience 3 full days hunting

Early in the morning, after a full breakfast, we will drive you to a nearby field (10 to 60 minutes.) By the time we get there, the birds will be flying high in the sky and you’ll find our staff waiting for you with the blinds set and ready to go. Doves and pigeons will fly all day long, providing ample wing-shooting opportunities.

If what you want is to hunt big game, depending on which species you are looking for, the guides will take you to different areas where the game is located.

At noon, we’ll have a lunch break in the field. Lunch consists of delicious Argentine dishes cooked on site.

After lunch, you will continue to shoot through the afternoon.

Day 5

Brunch at the lodge. Ground transfer to the local airport to catch domestic flight to Buenos Aires.

Location:

The lodge is located in an isolated corner once roamed by gauchos and pioneers about 40 miles southwest of the Santiago del Estero airport. Amakela looks out to the distant vast plains of Santiago del Estero, where hills covered with bushy green woods emerge and a lush, verdant backdrop comes to life. This dry, semi-arid landscape is home to a vast array of wild fauna, making for top-quality big-game and small-game hunts.

Accommodation:

Amakela Lodge features 12 remarkably comfortable ensuite rooms perfectly suitable for groups as large as 20. All rooms are double and equipped with high-speed Internet access. The lodge houses a comfortable living room with a nearby bar, a recreation room and a large outdoor terrace dining room.

After a long day of hunting, our guests can slow down with an exclusive massage or a swim in our outdoor pool and jacuzzi, or enjoy a relaxed evening at our recreation room, that includes a TV screen with sofas and a pool table.

In the evening, our guests can enjoy exquisite chef-prepared meals complimented by the finest Argentine wines. These gourmet meals are served in the cozy outdoor living room where the scenic Guasayan Hills and Santiago del Estero’s dry, vast plains tower in the background.

You can expect a traditional and unforgettable Argentine gastronomic experience executed by our team of experienced cooks that specialize in preparing the hunting game, including traditional Argentinian flavors.

Our kitchen uses only fresh and local products, including fruit, vegetables, and meats. Combining these elements, we create delicious flavors and varied textures that harbor hidden stories and package traditions on each plate like our Argentinian asados and our famed beef.
