Unit 34 Private Land Elk Hunt

1-1 Guests • Lodge • Private • Guided

Description

5 days, fully outfitted

For those who are patient, I have a 200 acre private land piece of property in Unit 34 that we are now hunting. It is pretty much a sit over water hole hunt but it is very productive. Lots of elk in the area come to use this main water source. And even better we can start hunting it with a rifle starting Oct. 1 right in the middle of the rut activity. This is a great opportunity and a cheaper price to experience Unit 34 and kill a nice bull.

Pricing is for a 1x1 hunt. Trophy fees are not included in this hunt (see Add-Ons).

New Mexico Draw

If you are planning a hunt in New Mexico, most likely you will be putting in the draw at some point with us. The draw opens up in January with a deadline sometime in March. There are 3 draw pools, residents, non-residents and outfitter pool. Basically, for the best chance to draw a tag you definitely want to put in the outfitter pool. To do this you must contact me to get my outfitter number to use when applying. Note it is law that I must do a contract with each hunter before they can put in under my outfit. My draw contracts will state the hunt choices to put in for (you get up to 3) and type of package you want if you draw. If putting in for multiple animals we must do one for each species.

Note that when applying in draw for any species you will be required to provide a credit card as Game and Fish will charge for full license which will be refunded minus a $13.00 application fee. Also, to be noted as of 2019 you must purchase a $65.00 general license and $5.00 habitat stamp before you can apply.

New Mexico Hunting License

Nonresident License:

  • $555.00 for standard hunts,
  • $780.00 for HD/Quality hunts + $65.00 general license

Resident License:

  • $91.00 for either sex or bull

Please note, there is a 50% nonrefundable deposit included with your payment at booking.
