These are also great units of rutting mule deer. These high desert sagebrush hillsides provide the perfect habitat for giant deer to thrive.

Unit 40/61 Guided Hunts
Our accommodations are awaiting your arrival. A comfortable and warm bed and breakfast atmosphere, where proud owners provide fully cooked meals. Our camp is in the middle of the unit, which gives us great access to many of the best hunting spots.
Just outside of Grand Junction and bordering the Utah state line, Unit 40 has been known to produce some of the highest-quality animals the state has to offer.

All hunters must possess a hunting license in Colorado. Hunters under the age of 18 may purchase a youth license. Additional licenses, stamps, or permits may be required.
Hunters between the ages of 12-18 may purchase a youth big game license.
Colorado does not offer a hunting license specifically for senior citizens.
