The whitetail hunting season in Texas runs from October - February.
Low-Fence Hunt Includes
- Lodging in our Blackbuck Lodge
- 3-Day/3-Night Rifle Hunts or 4-Day/4-Night Bow Hunts
- Can Accommodate up to 6 guests
- 1 Mature Buck & 2 Does
- Meals are included for groups of 4-6
- Smaller groups can handle their own food or have meals added for an additional fee per day.
The Ranch
A historic property on 2,300 acres near Fredricksburg and Mason, TX. Originally known as the Kothmann Family ranch and settled in the 1870's. Family began work on the two-story brown stone house in 1875.
Today this historic ranch is headquarters of Haverlah Ranches Registered Angus Cattle operation as well as our hunting establishment offering world-class whitetail trophies.
The Country - Mason County
Our ranch originated as a headquarters for the historic Kothmann Herford cattle herd in the early 1900's. A century later the ranch remains an important symbol for the many Kothmann descendants in central Texas.
Base price is per person for a Low-Fence Whitetail Hunt.

In Texas, anyone of any age is required to purchase a valid hunting license in order to hunt any animal, bird, frog, or turtle. Exceptions to this rule apply in special circumstances. Hunters must also successfully complete a Hunter Education Course to obtain a license.
