Morning or Afternoon Dove Hunt in Texas Panhandle

Tahoka, Texas

Lodge • Private • Guided

5.0(3 reviews)

Description

Dove season in the Texas Panhandle isn’t just a hunt—it’s a tradition. Warm September mornings, the sound of wings zipping overhead, and the thrill of fast-flying birds make for some of the best wing-shooting action in the country. Whether you’re a seasoned shotgunner or a first-timer, a guided dove hunt in the Panhandle delivers nonstop excitement.

The Setup

Your hunt begins in the prime dove country of the Texas Panhandle—ag fields, water holes, and mesquite flats that attract massive numbers of migrating birds. Depending on conditions, you’ll be set up on the edges of harvested grain fields, near watering holes, or along tree lines where doves love to gather.

Guides will get you positioned with the best flight paths in mind, ensuring plenty of shooting opportunities as the birds pour in. You’ll settle into a comfortable chair, shotgun at the ready, waiting for the first streaks of gray to come buzzing through.

Semi Guided vs. Guided Hunt

If you opt for a guided hunt, we provide seats, decoys, 1 guide and dog to retrieve your birds for every 4 hunters, and we will clean your birds. (1 guide will be present for every 4 hunters).
