Description

Bobcat Hunts With Hounds

We hunt our bobcats in the midcoast area of Maine. The bobcat population is on the increase in our area with more turkeys and rabbits providing more food. With bobcats snow is very important to hunt the bobcats. Snow helps us with finding the tracks and finding a big Tom bobcat to hunt. We also put out baits to take the hounds to run off . We also use game cameras to size and time the bobcats.

The season runs from December 1st to February 20th.

Price is for 5-Day hunt Including Lodging. Meals available for extra fee.

It is a new lodge with Queen size beds and carpeted floors. The lodge is decorated with many mounts of wild game and waterfowl. A game room is also available with pool table, dart board and cards for you enjoyment. Meals are provided with a lodging package along with airport pickup.

The menus are fresh Maine seafood based with lobsters, shrimp, scallops and clams. We also serve the best steaks or chicken if you would like. The lodge is also setup with kennels for your dogs if you want to bring them. We have an area for gun cleaning and bird processing. We also have freezer space for all your mounts and processed birds.

Directions to the Lodge

Searsport From the Maine / New Hampshire Border

Take I-95 to Augusta. Then take Rt. 3 (coastal route) for about 45 minutes to Belfast. In Belfast you will see a Chevrolet dealership on your right, and an overpass in front of you. Turn left just beyond the overpass, taking Rts. 1-3 east. Go until you get to Searsport (6 miles). Just after the banks you will see Mt. Ephraim Road on your left.

Searsport From Bangor Airport

Leave the airport and follow the signs to I-95 south. Once you get on I-95 south, go to exit 180 in Hampden and turn left off the ramp. At the light (2 miles), go right to the next light and turn right on Rt. 1A south. Follow 1A south to Searsport (20 miles). In Searsport turn right on the Mt. Ephraim Road. If you pass the banks on Rt. 1, you have gone too far.

Follow Mt. Ephraim Road 4.8 miles until you see Nickerson Road on your left. In the daytime you will see a big blueberry field just before it, at night you will see a reflector tape at the road entrance. My driveway is 1.3 miles on Nickerson Road, on the left is a mailbox that will say Jackson 118 and a sign Seaduck Ln.
