Our Guarantee

Unlike other Outfitters that guarantee success or shot opportunities we know that it is impossible to do so on public land fair chase hunts. This is especially true when it comes to Blacktail deer hunting and Roosevelt elk hunting in the brush filled terrain of the Pacific Northwest. Our guarantee is that we scout and work hard year around to prepare for your success. This is what gives us near 100% shot opportunity on Blacktail bucks. We have game cameras set up in several locations throughout the year and we place ground blinds and tree stands on travel routes in and near bedding areas.

We guarantee that we are committed to scouting year around and that you will hunt hard in productive areas from daylight until dark. We guarantee that you will have a great guide and that you will be in or around deer every day of the hunt. We also guarantee that you will be well fed and that we will give 150% each and every day that you are with us. Other than those guarantees we do not guarantee success or shot opportunities, but we do guarantee that we will do whatever we can to make sure it happens. This is fair chase hunting, and nobody wants to succeed more than us.

Terrain and Hunting Methods

Our primary methods for Blacktail deer hunting change depending on the weapon and season. During the early season when deer movement is low and bucks seem to be nocturnal, we utilize tree stands and ground blinds in heavy cover. Well placed stands on heavily used trails, over a legal bait site or near bedding areas often produce daylight deer. During the rut as the bigger bucks emerge from the thick brush and start searching for does, they become more vulnerable. During this stage of the season we prefer spot and stalk hunting. During the rut hunts expect to climb to a good vantage points and spend a lot of time covering ground and glassing. Once we spot a shooter buck, we will then close distance and get within shot range. During the rut we may also utilize our tree stands and ground blinds over bait sites if the bucks remain in these areas. We also use still hunting methods and tracking depending on the situation.

Depending on the area we are hunting the habitat can vary greatly. Expect deep canyons filled with brush and heavy timber in most areas.
