The Ultimate Fisher's Dream - 10-Day

1-4 Guests

Description

If five days is amazing, then ten is going to be incredible! This will cross off something on the bucket list for sure. Fresh, feisty fish in beautiful clear waters waiting for your line. With a lodge record over 50 pounds, the next big one just might be yours!

Fishing each day will consist of trolling, fly fishing and jigging. We will be after Lake Trout and Arctic Grayling but you never know what may be at the end of your line!

ITINERARY

DAY 10

Pack your gear and bring it to the lodge in time for your 6:00AM breakfast. You will be leaving the dock at 7:00AM, be having a packed shore lunch for 30 minutes and returning to the dock at 3:00PM. You are welcome to shower in the Lodge before you leave on the plane at approximately 5-5:30pm.

PRESERVING FOR YEARS TO COME…

To ensure the success of this lake for many years to come, a “catch and release” policy for huge fish was implemented when the lodge opened, and we have chosen to continue this policy. Of course, we do make a point of enjoying our “daily swimmers” along with our home-cooked dinners each evening. If you want to immortalize your catch, we are happy to arrange a taxidermist.

Kevin's Trip

Kevin M

Hi! We're your hosts, Kevin and Patti! Long before we became owners, we were adventurers just like you. We started our outfitter in 2000 to share our love of outdoors. We began with waterfowl and have grown our trip offerings to include moose, bison, wolf and coyote. After that growth, a tempting opportunity presented itself. That opportunity was purchasing a lake lodge in the beautiful Northwest Territories. This remote fly-in lodge is the newest jewel in our crown – and it has already brought anglers from all over to enjoy the best fishing anywhere.

Rules & Guidelines

GETTING TO US

Normal flight time to Lodge is 1 3/4 hrs. The charter lands on Rocknest Bay and you taxi to our dock right below the lodge.

Getting to the far North has never been easier. Airline flights are scheduled daily from the many airlines flying from the south to Yellowknife such as Air Canada-Jazz, First Air, West Jet and Canadian North. These Yellowknife flights connect to all major Canadian and many U.S. cities. You SHOULD arrive a day prior in Yellowknife to your fly out date in order to ensure your connections to us!

You’ll depart your hotel in Yellowknife for Float Plane base, leaving Yellowknife between 2:00 and 3:00 and arriving at our Lodge between 4:00-5:00 pm. Normal flight time to our Lodge is 1 3/4 hrs. The plane lands on Rocknest Bay and you taxi to our dock right below the lodge.

After you’ve arrived and get settled into your cabins, you’ll come to the Lodge to meet your guides.

WHEN DEPARTING…

When departing, plan to stay the night in Yellowknife – the float plane does not depart from our Lodge until later in the afternoon so you’ll need to fly home the following day.

The guest cabins are set up to accommodate four guests, and each offers comfortable beds, thermostatically controlled heat and a sitting area.

Because we are truly dedicated to the satisfaction of each guest, we have structured occupancy of just 20 guests per week.

Every detail is attended to by our staff to make your trip a memorable one.

Most of your needs will be looked after while you’re staying with us. We suggest the following personal items be brought with you:

  • Pants, shirts and sweaters suitable for layering
  • Jacket that blocks wind and water
  • Polarized glasses
  • Sun screen
  • Mosquito repellant
  • Hat
  • Lightweight gloves
  • Medications
  • Personal care items (razor, shampoo etc.)
  • Your fishing gear and tackle

We have rods, reels, tackle at the lodge-you can bring your own or use ours. Our tackle program is free – you just pay for what you lose or break.

There is a washer and dryer at the lodge so we can help you with laundry if you need it. Because of weight restrictions on the float planes, you are allowed a maximum baggage weight for personal items of 50lbs. For anything over 50lbs. there is a surcharge of $75.00 per 50 lbs.

Please note:

  • There is a 50% nonrefundable deposit included with your payment when booking.
  • Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE!
  • Substitute anglers are allowed for the year booked.
  • Per person guest rates are based on two guests per guide.
  • A $300 USD per-day surcharge will apply for one-on-one guided trip.
  • Rates are subject to change if there is a significant rise in fuel prices. Any trips booked with deposits will be honored at the price quoted at booking.
