Rules & Guidelines

We're excited to have you in camp. Our goal is to provide a safe, enjoyable, and memorable Tennessee waterfowl hunting experience for every guest.


Safety Comes First

  1. Follow your guide's instructions at all times.
  2. Firearms must remain unloaded until instructed otherwise.
  3. Always practice safe firearm handling and maintain muzzle awareness.
  4. Alcohol is prohibited before and during the hunt.
  5. Eye and hearing protection are recommended.


Hunting Licenses & Regulations

Hunters are responsible for purchasing and carrying all required Tennessee hunting documentation before arrival, including:

  1. Valid Tennessee Hunting License (if required)
  2. Tennessee Waterfowl Stamp (if applicable)
  3. Federal Duck Stamp
  4. HIP Certification
  5. Any additional permits required by Tennessee regulations


Arrival & Hunt Schedule

  1. Please arrive at the lodge during your scheduled check-in time.
  2. Morning hunts begin well before sunrise, so be prepared for early departures.
  3. Notify your guide if travel delays affect your arrival.


Lodging Expectations

  1. Treat the lodge and all facilities with respect.
  2. Help keep common areas clean.
  3. Quiet hours are observed each evening so everyone is rested for the morning hunt.
  4. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas.


Hunting Conditions

Waterfowl hunting depends on migration timing, weather conditions, and bird movement. Native Thunder scouts daily to provide the best opportunities possible, but harvests can never be guaranteed.

  1. Shotgun (plugged to federal regulations)
  2. Non-toxic shotshells
  3. Waterproof boots or waders
  4. Layered camouflage clothing suitable for Tennessee weather
