Susquehanna and Wallenpaupack Walleye

1-6 Guests

Description

These trips run 5-6 hours and are best in April and May. These trips start at various times.

This stretch of the Susquehanna known as the North Branch is characterized by rolling meadows, forests and crop land, set amidst seemingly Endless Mountains. This area is conveniently located just a few miles from Interstate 81 and easy access to the northeast extension of the turnpike. We are located less than two hours from the major metropolitan areas making day Trips very easy to do.

Last year my clients caught and released over 8000 Smallmouth Bass. 565 Channel Cats and 113 Walleye.

The river flow was good all year so my clients seen a lot of action. We mainly fish the Lackawanna, Susquehanna and Wyoming county area of the North Branch but have fished from the New York state line south to Harrisburg. If you wish to fish a different area I will do my best to accommodate your wishes.

I am a lifelong resident of NEPA and have been fishing over 50 years. After spending many years on the Bass Tournament Trails I moved to guiding on the Susquehanna River and surrounding Pocono lake. I am a full time guide and spend about 250 days a year on the water. I am very knowledgeable on the latest techniques and lures. I will show you the latest techniques and review the basics to efficiently utilize your time. All skill levels are welcome. We will make whatever adjustments needed to make your trip an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Fishing License: A Pa. fishing license is required and must be displayed.

Safety Considerations: Our Guide service is a professional full time guide service. As such the overall safety of his guest allows the Captain to cancel a charter at any time due to weather and or water conditions. If the trip is canceled due to weather or water conditions, you may reschedule the trip.

All charters based on two anglers. singles welcome based on availability.

Additional time may be added to a charter at $25 per hour based on availability.

CPR: Catch Photo and Release: All Bass will be released in order to maintain this world class fishery. Catfish and walleye under 21 inches may be kept.

Capacity: I can accommodate two adults or one adult and two children. I have other boats available if other anglers wish to come along.

PA fishing license: You must have your PA Fishing License with you and displayed no exceptions.

Fowl Weather: You will need to bring your rain gear hopefully you won’t need it but you never know. Bring enough warm clothes I have ample storage for extra gear. Sunglasses are a must not only to see the structure but also for eye protection.

Equipment: If you choose to use my equipment you will be using very high quality Denali Kovert Rods paired with Lews Reels, each one of these outfits cost in excess of $ 300 That being said if you drop one in you will be charged the replacement cost. As always you are welcome to bring your own gear.

Weather and Water: We fish rain or shine as long as there is no Lightning in the area. If we are faced with heavy winds I will make the call. Usually anything over a 20 mph wind will need to be rescheduled.

High Water: I understand everyone wants a perfect day with perfect flows, unfortunately that is not river fishing. As long as the Wilkes-Barre gauge is below six feet and not raising we can safely fish the river. If it is above six feet we can fish a lake or reschedule.
