SITKA ALASKA SALMON FISHING

4-Day/5-Night or 5-Day/6-Night Charters | Luxury Yacht Lodging Included

Alaska King Salmon Fishing in Sitka, Alaska is nothing short of spectacular. Sitka is often referred to as Southeast Alaska’s “King Capital” for having the region’s highest king catch rates year in and year out. During the summer months, schools of hungry king salmon move near shore from their wintering grounds in the North Pacific. Here they feed on never ending schools of baitfish, in preparation for their eventual migration, imprinted to their stream of origin. Hard fighting, tasty and in the prime of their lives, king salmon range from 15-65 lbs.

Silver Salmon or “Coho” Fishing in Alaska, and especially in Sitka, can be described in one word – “action!” In much of the same way that the King Salmon do, summer brings incredible schools of Silver Salmon to our waters. Hearty appetites coupled with intense competition within the schools, can create a virtual feeding frenzy.

Base price is per person for a 4-Day/5-Night Charter. Make it a 5-Day/6-Night Charter for an additional fee per angler. Minimum 8, Maximum 10

What To Expect

We have been providing some of the finest and most successful guided saltwater salmon fishing trips in Sitka, Alaska since 2008. Our exciting all inclusive Alaska Fishing Vacations include 5 nights of luxurious accommodations and 4 full days of exciting saltwater fishing on the beautiful Pacific Ocean in Sitka, Alaska!

These 5 night/4 day charters take place aboard our luxury yacht, the 80 ft. Alaskan Harvest in conjunction with Outbound Alaskan Charters. The Alaskan Harvest will be your anchored Alaska fishing lodge, offering excellent fishing in the outlying areas of Sitka Alaska, with the finest fishing just minutes away from the Mothership. We don’t fish off of the Mothership, we use smaller 33 foot boats for this.

When you choose us for saltwater salmon fishing in Alaska, you’ll spend more time fishing (and catching!) and less time wasted traveling to and from different spots looking for the best fishing area. We’ll fish in remote areas of Southeast Alaska; areas where we have already scouted out and know that the fish are there and biting. You won’t have to fight for your fishing spot because we’ll be the only ones there! No competition! No crowds! It will just be us and whomever else is on board that day!)

Your group will fish off of two 33 ft. cabin cruisers with qualified captains who know the local waters. Both boats include heated cabins and bathrooms, with the latest safety and navigational equipment. In late afternoon you will go back to the Alaskan Harvest for an evening of relaxation and fine seafood cuisine.

The cost for this unparalleled 5-night/4 full-day fishing trip includes all of your meals, guiding, and transportation to the Mothership and fishing grounds from Sitka, Alaska; all necessary fishing licenses and stamps, and the vacuum sealing of your fish. It does not include gratuities for the crew or shipment of your fish if you choose not to check it in for your flight home.

It takes 8-10 fishermen to book this amazing adventure. We might be able to fill the boat for smaller groups by combining groups. Minimum of 8 maximum of 10.

Rules & Guidelines

Sport Fishing Licenses, King Salmon Stamps, IDs and Harvest Record Cards

All residents age 18 or older and nonresidents age 16 or older must purchase and possess a sport fishing license to participate in Alaska sport and personal use fisheries. In addition, a king salmon stamp is required to fish for king salmon. These laws apply in both fresh and marine waters. Sport fish licenses and king salmon stamps may be purchased online, at most sporting goods stores, and at Fish and Game offices.

Alaska residents age 60 or older and Alaska disabled veterans who maintain their residency may participate in sport fisheries without a sport fishing license, but must apply for and possess an ADF&G Identification Card. Alaska Identification Card applications are available online and at Fish and Game offices. Holders of ADF&G Identification Card and resident anglers under 18 years of age and nonresidents under 16 years of age DO NOT need to purchase a king salmon stamp in order to fish for king salmon.

To participate in sport fisheries that have annual harvest limits (many king salmon and rainbow trout fisheries, see the Sport Fishing Regulations pages for the location you will be fishing), resident anglers younger than 18, nonresident anglers younger than 16, as well as resident senior and disabled veterans holding ADF&G Identification Cards must obtain a free Sport Fishing Harvest Record Card (PDF 94 kB), available online, at license vendors, and at Fish and Game offices, in order to record their harvest of those fish. You need to carry your harvest record card with you while fishing and record your catch immediately in the field, but do not need to turn in your card at the end of the season. Please retain your harvest card until the end of the fishing season.
