Florida residents and visitors need a Florida hunting license (in addition to other required permits), unless they are exempt.

Hunters born on or after June 1, 1975, and 16 years old, must pass a hunter safety course before purchasing a license.

  6. What is the best way to clean scallops? - We recommend cleaning your scallops as soon as you get back to shore. You should use a knife or scissors to remove any dirt or debris from the shells, and then rinse them off with fresh water.
