Salt River Lodge | North Central Missouri

We're a family-owned and operated farm and outfitter in north central Missouri, an area renowned as a sportsman's paradise for waterfowl, upland bird, trophy whitetail deer and wild turkey hunting. A short two-to-three hour drive from St. Louis and Kansas City, and just an hour from Columbia, Salt River Lodge provides an ideal location for a true outdoor getaway.

Home to one of the largest privately-owned contiguous wetlands in the Show-Me State, our wetlands, timber, row crop fields, prairies and rolling hills encompass more than 1,500 acres across three Missouri counties.

From late February-March we attract upwards of 50,000 ducks and geese, as well as dozens to hundreds of eagles, pelicans, and rare birds on their return migration North that can be seen from the lodge and back deck overlooking the farm.

After a day of exploration, bird-watching or nature photography, our Salt River Lodge will be waiting with delicious home-cooked meals, cozy accommodations and an open bar. Offering all the amenities of home, as well as delicious country cooking and drinks of choice, you may not want to go back. You'll enjoy the sweeping views of the Valley in fall, winter and spring, and there's nothing quite like a hot cup of coffee while listening to feeding mallards, hammering toms or rattling bucks.
