Rules & Guidelines
In Arkansas, waterfowl hunting regulations are designed to ensure sustainable and ethical practices. The general duck season is divided into segments, typically starting in mid-November and concluding at the end of January. Hunters are permitted a daily bag limit of six ducks, which may include no more than four mallards (with a maximum of two hens), three wood ducks, two canvasbacks, and one pintail. For geese, limits vary by species; for instance, the daily bag limit for Canada geese is two, while for snow, blue, and Ross's geese, the limit is twenty per day.
To legally hunt waterfowl in Arkansas, hunters aged 16 or older must carry proof of Arkansas Harvest Information Program (HIP) registration. Non-resident hunters are also required to have a valid Arkansas waterfowl stamp.
For the most accurate and up-to-date information, it's recommended to consult the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission's official resources.
