Oriental Acupressure Retreat
Roosevelt, AZ
1-12 Guests
Description
The ability to heal yourself and others is a birthright of every person, and a skill essential to preparedness. Oriental Acupressure is a simple and profoundly effective healing art founded on the concept that the flow of life force energy (chi) through the body provides healthy vitality. This is a hands-on, practical workshop, covering the philosophy of Oriental Acupressure, meridians and pulse points, pulse diagnosis, how to give a healing treatment, and first aid. Includes Bigfoot's Book of Ancient Natural Remedies. Please register within 10 days prior to the event.
Classes held at Reevis Mountain School include meals (arrival night meals are a potluck party—please bring a healthful, natural dish to share!), class supplies, hot showers, and a campsite.
Camping is free, or stay in a yurpee, single cabin (sleeps 1), or double cabin (sleeps 1-2+) for an additional fee (availability permitting). Yurpees have single beds and pillows; bring your own bedding or sleeping bag. Cabins have a single, double, or queen bed, and bedding is included. Cabins and yurpees have no electricity or water. Bring a battery-operated lantern if you would like lighting at night.

Rules & Guidelines
Reevis Mountain School is located south of Lake Roosevelt on an inholding in the Tonto National Forest, at the edge of the Superstition Wilderness. Access is by a 4WD forest road. Our location is quite remote and peaceful, far from most conveniences and distractions of modern life. There is no indoor plumbing, no cell service, no phone service, and Internet access is not available to students/guests.
Lodging options are generally quite rustic - either camping (bring your own gear) or a bed in a shared yurpee (yurt+teepee combo, Bigfoot's innovation). We do have a few conventional-construction cabins, which have regular beds and small furniture. Our class fees do not include lodgings (only camping) so that we can keep the class fee itself more affordable. Please note that it is not possible to commute to our classes, as activities run from early morning to after supper, and the nearest motel rooms are at least 30 minutes away.
We provide complimentary shuttle service from Roosevelt, 10 miles one way—or caravan in your own 4X4. Shuttle pickup is at 4 p.m., first day of class (note exceptions in class descriptions), at M&S Marine, Hwy. 188, Roosevelt (between milepost 233 and 234).
Please remember that alcohol, smoking, illegal drugs, and pets are not allowed at Reevis. We love dogs but regretfully cannot accommodate them. If you arrive with a dog, we will ask you to leave.
Must be 18 years of age to attend a class. Indicate whether you will need shuttle service from Roosevelt and whether you would like to stay in a yurpee or cabin instead of camping. Deposits are nonrefundable unless RMS reschedules or cancels the class.
