Description
Hunting black bear in Maine is the best in North American. Since 1987 our professional guide service has provided our clients with success in the field. We will deliver you the stand and return to get you when the legal light fades.
We will provide tree stands, ground blinds or the hounds. You will stay at our new Central Maine Foxcroft River House in Dover Foxcroft Maine or one of our remote camps north of Moosehead Lake. When the hunter is successful, we will be responsible to get the animal out and to your desired location to be caped and butchered.
Bait hunts are conducted the first two weeks of the season and bait and hound hunts are conducted the last 2 weeks. We only run groups of 6 to 9 hunters per week. You will receive personal attention and individual accommodation. If you would like to be filmed by a friend or family member for the hunt, we can accommodate this.
All food and transportation is provided during the hunt. This is the advantage of booking with us; you are treated as a valuable commodity. We want your quest to be memorable. So book early and come “Experience Success" with Maines best.

Rules & Guidelines
Camp Rules
The guide is in charge. Safety is our first priority and we do not take any chances. That’s why you hired us. Follow their guidance at all times. This is big country and it is easy to get turned around. Time on a hunt is valuable; we don’t want to waste it getting lost.
Follow the Maine State Laws. There will be zero tolerance if you break the law. All guides will not be put in a compromised situation and therefore are required to report all violations. A complete review of existing laws of the hunt will be given prior to the hunt. Law books will be provided to all if necessary.
No smoking in the camp. If you need to smoke do it outside and away from the camp. Always field dress (pick up) your butts!
No excessive consumption of alcohol. Alcohol is allowed but drunk and disorderly conduct will result in your hunt being cut short. You have come to hunt, we can all celebrate at the end of the hunt.
Follow the North Maine Woods (NMW) rules: The rules and regulations of North Maine Woods are few and simple. Your cooperation and good common sense will keep them that way.
