Before you hit the woods:

Kansas hunting license + spring turkey permit are required for all hunters. Non-residents must apply for a turkey tag via the Kansas draw system (generally early Jan - Feb for the spring season).

Season typically runs April through May 31, with some archery-specific dates earlier in April in certain units.
