Ice Fish for Northern Pike (Androscoggin River & area lakes)

1-2 Guests

Description

As winter progresses, Northern Pike move into deeper water where the bait fish gather. Start by fishing weed beds and offshore bars. As spring nears, Pike move into shallower water in preparation for spawning. More pike have been caught using a single hook and a sucker minnow on a ice fishing Tip-up. I suggest using a medium sucker minnow in the 6-8 inch range. It is most important to be fishing where the pike are hanging out. So, do your homework and have fun.

Base price is for 1/2 day trips, see additional pricing to turn it into a full day!

Dates: (Dec 1 - March 31)

Our trips are great for the beginner or advanced fisherman. We love introducing people to the sport of fly fishing and typically start with a lesson on dry land and then move to the water. Our goal is for you to land your first fish on the fly!
