Responsible Tourism
Responsible tourism is the process by which awareness of a culture is spread while maintaining the sanctity of its land, people, and traditions.
Whether this involves a company, an individual, or the media, all parties have a responsibility to promote environmental awareness during their travels and be respectful of the unique circumstances of their visit. Whether through simple gestures such as picking up trash on a hiking trail, or larger efforts such as holding a workshop on environmental awareness in a rural village, we each can encourage a higher level of mutual respect and cultural understanding wherever we go – while working together to build a sustainable future for a wide range of populations.
