Description

Traditional 16' Drift-Boat

Half or Full Day | up to 2 guests per boat

Our traditional float fishing trip is perfect for guests looking for a fly fishing adventure on a classic drift boat with 1-2 people per boat accompanied by a guide. Because of it's size, the 16ft boat is easy to maneuver into small side channels and natural spring creeks that hold large Cutthroat, Rainbo, and Brown trout. With half and full day options and multiple rivers to choose from, this Wyoming float fishing trip is an excellent choice for anyone looking to advance their fly fishing skills on a classic drift boat!

*Base price includes a half-day, 4-hours on the water for 2 anglers. Make it a full-day 6-hours on the water for an additional fee.

Highlights

  • The traditional boat allows for each guest to fish the entire length of the trip for maximized opportunity to catch trout.
  • Our guides will adapt to your ability level whether you are a beginner looking to perfect your cast or a seasoned angler searching for a record setting fish.
  • Jackson Hole is known for its beautiful scenery and a float trip is no exception! Enjoy the views, wildlife, and fishing all from the comfort of a classic drift boat.
  • Traditional boat trips come with both Fly fishing and spin fishing options.

Rivers We Guide On:

The Snake River: A 13-mile float from Wilson to South Park. Full day and half-day trips are both available. This section is very braided and allows guides to take channels that are small and can be waded. Snake River Fine Spotted Cutthroat Trout is only on this stretch of the river. The Average fish is 12-14 inches, with a chance at fish in the 16-18 inch range.

The Green River: A full day trip only because of the drive time, 1 hour each way. The Green River holds mostly German Brown and Rainbow trout. The average fish size is 14-+136 inches, with chances at fish well over 20 inches. Imagine that family photo.

The Salt River: A full day only because of drive time, 1 hour each way. A smaller river that holds mostly Cutthroat and Brown trout. This river flows into the Palisades Reservoir which also holds water from the Snake in the Jackson area.

Hat and Sunglasses are a must. Sunglasses protect the eyes from the sun and any errand hooks. Long sleeves and pants can help with both the bugs and sun. The Green River is the really only river with mosquitoes and biting flies. Water shoes can be helpful, but if a person wants to keep their feet dry it is not a problem.
