Accommodation

We are situated on the R62 between Uitenhage and Jansenville in the Eastern Cape.

The lodge boasts 7 spacious double rooms. There is a huge entertainment area with a television, a Lovely yellowwood bar, and a fireplace. We have an indoor thatched barbeque area as well as an outside boma barbeque. There is a separate garden cottage with 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms a lounge area, and a bar.

The lodge has a full-time chef catering for all occasions.

We will tailor make your stay with us according to your interests and wishes. We have an in-house tour guide who has twenty years of guiding experience. We cater to all our nonhunters, children, and families. We also advise that after your hunt you may want to add a few days for touring or doing one or more day trips. This is a great way to experience more of our country. We offer day trips from our lodge to experience game drives at Addo Elephant reserve to amazing views from the Valley of Desolation.

  • Addo Elephant National Park: Photographic Safari

    • The park is home to over 600 elephants and many other animal species. The park encompasses 164,000 hectares and 630 square miles of land. It is an hour’s drive from our lodge. These amazing elephants can get very close to the vehicles as well as the over 400 Cape Buffalo, Zebra, Eland, Hartebeest, Warthog, Black Rhino, Lion, Black Backed Jackal, Genet Cat, Caracal, and Lynx. Spend an exciting day in the park and enjoy a great lunch and shopping at the African curio shop. We use our own vehicle or you can enjoy a ride on one of the national parks’ open game drive vehicles.

  • Port Elizabeth also known as Nelson Mandela Bay

    • Enjoy a walk along the Indian Ocean. Good shopping in great malls and curio shopping for African grifts. Optional history tours and lunch with a stunning view of the ocean.

  • Daniell’s Cheetah Breeding Sanctuary

    • Just a 15-minute drive from the lodge enjoy viewing Cheetahs, Hyenas, Lions, Caracal, Serval Cats, and the Surricate. You can interact with and stroke a cheetah. Enjoy lunch and African shopping.

  • Valley of Desolation - Visit the Karoo historical town of Graaff Reinet

    • One of the oldest towns is situated an hour’s drive from our lodge. It has the most national monuments in any town in South Africa and has a rich history of British and Dutch settlers. The valley of Desolation is situated just 5 minutes from the town in the Camdeboo National Park in the Karoo. Enjoy a short hike on the top of the mountain, with the possibility of seeing black eagles roosting spots, and enjoy the breathtaking views and tranquility of the plains. Great photo opportunities. The park is home to Kudu, Zebra, Ostriches, Buffalo, Eland, and many other species.

    • Enjoy Lunch at one of the great restaurants

    • Great Curio shopping, museums, and browsing through an antique shop.

    • For the ladies that would like to be pampered, there is a great spa

  • Jeffrey’s Bay. One of the Surfing Capitals of the World

    • The world-renowned Corona Surfing Contest (International Circuit) is held in the (winter) month of July, best months are October through to May, The whole family can all enjoy walks on the beach, swimming in the warm Indian Ocean and collecting shells. Beautiful accommodation right on the ocean and good food. Dolphins can be seen frolicking alongside the surfers and whales can be seen in the bay!

    • Horse riding along the white pristine beaches is also offered.

  • Fishing Trips from St. Francis Bay Harbour

    • Bottom fishing for: Squid, Cod, Red Roman, Hake, Yellow Bellu Panger, Cape Salmon, and Daggerhead. There are also Yellowtail and Yellowfin Tuna around best in winter months.

    • Includes transfers, boat, skipper, fishing equipment, bait, packed lunch, and refreshments.

  • Golf in Port Elizabeth

    • Game of Golf at Mill Park Golf Course of the Links Humewood Golf Course (does not include green fees or golf cart rental)

  • Schotia Private Game Preserve

    • Schotia game reserve is owned by the Bean Family and has been in the family since the early 1800s. The reserve has free roaming Lions, Buffalo, Elephant, Rhino, Hippo, Giraffe, Crocodiles, Kudu, Eland, Hartebeest, Lechwe, Nyala, Bushbuck, Warthog, Aardvark, and many more animal species. It is an amazing experience to get up really close to amazing elephants, rhinos, hippos, and lions on an open game viewing vehicle. You are almost guaranteed to see the big 4. The leopard is very elusive

    • The tour starts at 3 pm with a game drive and afternoon coffee or tea enjoyed with small bread (that have been cooked on an open fire) butter and jams. Then a night drive to get up close to the lions followed by a delicious pot dinner, vegetables, and dessert. Wine, beers, soft drinks, and dinner are all included in the price. That is all enjoyed around a large open fire called a “boma”.

    • The game warden will then take you on a spotlit game drive to view more nocturnal animals on the way back to the reception area or your accommodation where quite often you can hear the lions roaring. A very exciting experience.

    • We suggest overnighting in the reserve and there are different accommodation options. Your game warden will collect you at 7am for another unforgettable game drive followed by breakfast.
