Description

~▲~~ Come take a relaxing pontoon boat ride to see the beautiful fall colors of the leaves at Lake of Egypt!

.><((((º>`·….·´¯`·..><((((º>·´¯`·....><((((º>·….·

Reflecting colors of the mature trees that line the 90 miles of shoreline of the 2300 acres lake in Williamson and Johnson counties in Southern Illinois are bright and brilliant.

Completed in 1962 the Southern Illinois Power Cooperative damned the south fork of the Saline River to provide cooling water for their coal powered power plant. With an

average depth of 18 feet and 52 feet at it's deepest point Largemouth Bass, Blue Gill and Channel Catfish happily make the LOE their home. Little Egypt is the nickname

for the area that shows off natural rock formations and beautiful rolling hills full of abundant wildlife. Deer can be seen grazing peacefully in the local fields at dawn and dusk. In the spring time Bald Eagles can be seen drifting on the wind currents above the lake. During the fall tour flocks Canadian Geese put on a spectacular show that will leave you quietly watching as they gracefully land on the smooth as glass surface conducting a calling and honking chorus.

We'll take a 2 hour tour leaving from the dock at Pyramid Acres Marina on a comfortable 24 foot pontoon for a relaxing ride at sunset with a charcuterie board full of locally grown foods and 1 complementary bottle local of wine or if you prefer a supply of beer.
