Eco-Tour & Dolphin Watching (2hrs)

1-6 Guests • No Lodging • Public • Guided

Description

Our captains will narrate while you sightsee and marvel over the abundant wildlife with historic Charleston in the background. You will be taken to an island where you can go shelling and see a lot of hermit crabs along with all of the other wildlife, up close and personal. You may even find a sharks tooth or two, while you enjoy the scenery and learn about the ocean, salt marsh, rivers, and how they all make up our great eco-system.

Our captains will take you around the waterways where you can enjoy watching dolphins frolicking in the water. Please have a camera with a fast shutter speed if you plan to take pictures of the dolphins. They are very fast and sometimes sneaky, especially when they know that you have a camera. If you are lucky you may catch them in a feeding frenzy, which is like something that you would see on the Discovery Channel. The dolphins herd fish into one area, disorient them and then go in to feed on them. It is an awesome sight to see up close.

Rules & Guidelines

Amenities can be added to any charter upon request. We know how hard it can be to get the drinks and snacks when you’re not from the area, so just ask! We will be happy to provide everything for you at a minimal charge.

Booking:

Please note there is a 50% nonrefundable deposit included with your payment when booking.

A 5 day cancellation notice prior to the day of the charter is required for a full refund.

A last minute cancellation for a reason like a death in the family or hospitalization requires written proof. Our Charters reserves the right to cancel a charter for weather, safety, or maintenance reasons that would possibly endanger our passengers or equipment. Safety is always first with us!

Things to Bring: In South Carolina, sunscreen is a must during all weather. Creams seem to work better than the spray type. Bring what you plan to eat and drink (no glass bottles). Keeping hydrated is so important in the heat. A hat with a bill and a pair of polarized sunglasses will cut the glare on the water and may help you catch more fish, wear non-marking shoes. If you plan on keeping fish be sure you bring a cooler to transport them home, please leave it in your vehicle until the charter is complete.

Allergies: If you or anyone in your party is (or suspects that they are) allergic to fish, shellfish or seafood; we ask that you identify this serious issue at the time of booking your reservation.By identifying this in a timely manner it gives the captain the opportunity to take steps to try and sterilize the boat before you board. Most importantly we ask you to bring your EpiPen with you, in the case of an emergency, and identify it to the captain when boarding the vessel.
