9. Hot Tub Rules / Liabilities / Charges for Damage:
(You use the hot tub at your own risk. We cannot be held responsible for your safety whilst you are using the hot tub. You will be held responsible for any damage.)
--ALCOHOL AND HOT TUBS DO NOT MIX Drinking alcohol in a hot tub can be dangerous. A hot tub will cause your blood vessels to dilate which in turn will cause your blood pressure to rise. This means that alcohol will get into your blood stream faster and circulate through your body faster which will have a greater effect on you than normal. The heat of the tub and the alcohol combined can cause dehydration and possible heat exhaustion. If you feel any of the following symptoms then get out of the tub immediately:Light headed, dizzy, nausea, rapid heartbeat, faint or fatigue, headache, extreme sweating.
--Guests MUST shower before using the hot tub, to ensure the removal of moisturizers, perfumes, lotions, soaps, fake tan, deodorants, makeup or oils that will negatively affect the clarity of the water and chemical balances, this ensures a pleasant experience for all.
--DO NOT USE ANY SOAPS, BATH BOMBS, BATH SALTS, OR OILS IN THE TUB! THIS WILL CAUSE SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE TUB AND FILTRATION SYSTEM AND CAN CAUSE IT TO BE UN OPERATIONAL AND HAVE TO BE CLOSED TO YOU OR THE NEXT GUESTS DUE TO SUCH DAMAGE. DO NOT IMMERSE YOUR HEAD UNDERWATER. This will release residual shampoo/conditioner and cause excessive foaming. Guests should also shower after using the hot tub to avoid skin irritation.
--Drinks can be consumed around the hot tub area, please do so with care and try not to spill drinks into the water. Plastic glasses are provided for hot tub use and glassware is not to be used inside the tub but should a normal glass be broken in the tub then IMMEDIATELY vacate the tub then turn the jets off if they are running. Please report this to staff so that it can be dealt with as soon as practical. If it happens late at night then please refrain from using the tub and notify staff in the morning.
--Take care and move slowly when entering and exiting the hot tub, muscles may be relaxed enough to make you unsteady.
--No jumping or diving.
--AT NO POINT MUST ANYONE WALK OR PUT WEIGHT ON THE HOT TUB COVER OR DECK RAILING. This is both for your safety and to ensure no damage to the cover itself.
--DO NOT USE THE HOT TUB CONTINUOUSLY FOR MORE THAN 2 HOURS AT A TIME. This is first and foremost not good for you health and, secondly, running the pumps and leaving the lid open for longer will result in temperature loss and deterioration of water quality. Recommended guidelines suggest that you should use a hot tub for 15 to 30 minutes at a time with a maximum of 45 minutes at any one time.
--DO NOT EAT FOOD OR SMOKE IN THE TUB.
--If the hot tub is not in use then the cover should be closed. Leaving the cover open for prolonged periods will reduce the hot tub temperature and therefore ruin your enjoyment.
--NO children under the age of 7 may use the hot tub.
--DO NOT leave children unattended in or near the tub even when the lid is closed.
--DO NOT use the tub if you are unwell, have low or high blood pressure, diabetes, sensitive to chlorine, or have any open wounds. DO NOT USE THE HOT TUB IF YOU HAVE SKIN, EAR, GENITAL OR OTHER BODY INFECTIONS, OPEN SORES OR WOUNDS. AT NO POINT SHOULD THE HOT TUB BE USED IF YOU SUFFER FROM THE ABOVE. THIS COULD CAUSE THE SPREAD OF INFECTION, IRRITATE YOUR CONDITION FURTHER AND CONTAMINATION OF THE HOT TUB FACILITY. Elderly and pregnant women are encouraged to consult with a physician prior to use. If you have any doubts ask your doctor before booking.
--Exit the hot tub if you need to use the restroom. Do not pee in the hot tub.
-- Do not enter the hot tub if it the temperature is over 104 degrees.
--Turn off high-jets when not in use.
--Any damages to the lid/cover, lifting system, controls or filtration will be charged accordingly.
--In the case of miss-use and/or not following the guidelines set out above which result in the hot tub facility having to be shut down due to contamination, chemical in-balance, damage etc will be charged accordingly.
--Any maintenance required as a result of introduction of pollutants (including but not limited too soap, shampoo, oils, broken glass, bath salts etc) will incur a charge.
--ANY CHARGES INCURRED WILL BE FULLY DETAILED AND PHOTOGRAPH EVIDENCE PROVIDED AND SENT BY EMAIL AND LETTER.
--Empty and clean and refill hot tub : $100.00
--Damages will be charged at cost plus labor at $50 per hour.
--If we have guests that cancel due to the hot tub not being available as a result of damages caused by miss-use by leaving guests then there total booking cost will have to be covered including any of the above.
We are deeply sorry that we have to have these rules and regulations for the hot tub but unfortunately we have learned the hard way that not all human beings are kind, considerate, and respectful of others around them and their surroundings.
