We offer Black Bear Hunting in New Mexico. Experience a Guided Black Bear Hunt with us. Sit over a water hole, an apple orchard, spot and stalk, or let the dogs assist in your New Mexico black bear Hunt. We offer Black Bear hunts in Northern New Mexico in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains on both private and public hunting grounds. Have an opportunity to take a black bear in one of its many color phases: black, brown, cinnamon, or blonde.


Hunting Bears in New Mexico

We also offer Trophy Bear Hunts. Whether you would like to hunt rifle or archery equipment, we have a bear hunting package available for you. All hunts are fair chase here in New Mexico. We do mostly spot and stalk hunts for New Mexico Bear, but if you would prefer to sit in a ground blind that can be arranged. We welcome all hunters; young, old, and the mobility challenged.


Itinerary

-Arrive day before hunt begins in the afternoon ~ 2:00 PM

-Check in to your lodging accommodations

-Go to the gun range with guides to check the sites of your weapon.

-Possible drive through by the hunt area if time permits

-Dinner the day prior to the hunt beginning / Continental Breakfast each morning

-Guides pick you up then it’s off to go hunting

-Dinner following each days hunt

-Lunch provided each day of the hunt

John also excels in Outfitting in New Mexico for most big game along with other small game populations.

New Mexico Hunting License: Bears

An over-the-counter Bear License with valid carcass tag may be purchased from license vendors, Department offices, online or by mail using Form 3. One carcass tag comes with each license. (NOTE: Licenses and carcass tags purchased online will be mailed within two weeks of purchase). Hunters must purchase a Bear License AT LEAST TWO DAYS BEFORE HUNTING and must possess a valid Bear License and carcass tag while hunting in the field.


All hunters must possess a valid license, and permit if applicable, for the species and hunt type in which they will participate and must produce this upon request by a conservation officer. All big-game and turkey hunters must possess a Game-hunting License, tag(s) for each species hunted, and a Habitat Stamp.
