Dove season begins September 1st and runs through September 30th. We hold many doves throughout the whole month of September.

What to expect:

You will arrive the day before your hunt, check in time is 2pm and after. You can then enjoy a cocktail and visiting with other hunters throughout the lodge.


Dinner usually starts between 6-7. You will get a wakeup call the next morning and breakfast will be served. Your guide will meet you and give you a safety talk and let you know the plan for the morning hunt.


Lunch will be back at the lodge or delivered to the blind if you are still hunting. After your hunt you take your birds to the plucking shack where your birds are cleaned and packaged.


On the final morning of your hunt you need to have all of your belongings packed and neatly placed in the corner of your room so it can be prepped for the next guest arrival.


There are guest showers in the hall that are available after your hunt.

Rules & Guidelines

Normal temperatures for season:

  • October - Very Mild 40 to 50 degrees average
  • November - Moderate 25 to 50 degrees average
  • December - Cold 10 to 35 degrees average
  • January - Very Cold Below 0 to 25 degrees average


Clothing:

Make sure to bring plenty of warm clothes; long underwear, warm coat, gloves, hip boots or chest waders, hat (drab colors or camouflage preferred), face netting optional.


Guns and ammo:

Be sure to bring a gun and ammo. If you want us to assist you in getting shells, please let us know. Steel shot is required for waterfowl. #1's, #2's or #4's for Ducks -BBB or BB shot is recommended for Geese. Rental guns available upon request, $75.00 per gun.


Rental car

For those of you flying, you will need a rental SUV or truck.


Duck and goose plucking:

We have a bird processing facility on site, which is included in the package price. Birds are cleaned and packaged you will need a cooler to take your birds home with you.


Don't forget to bring with you the following that apply to your hunt:

  • Washington State Hunting License
  • Federal Duck Stamp (signed across face of stamp)
  • Washington State Duck Stamp (signed across face of stamp)
  • Small Game Permit
  • Your Camera!!!



*Note: If you are born after 1972 you will have to complete a hunter's education course from the state in which you reside. Washington State offers a one-time exemption from this rule. You must start this process at least 3 weeks prior to your arrival. You will need an accompanying hunter which can be your guide.


Hunting license:

It is best to buy your licenses weeks in advance so you have no issues when you arrive.


Note: Before your hunt, your guide will ask to see your license that will be needed. Make sure you have it with you.
