Yes. You can visit Outdoor Alabama to find out more information about the various hunting seasons.

Which deer season zone are you a part of?

We are a part of Zone B,

Is there a limit on how many deer we are allowed to hunt?

Yes. We allow one buck and one doe per booking. You are also allowed by state law to only take home 3 bucks per season. So, for instance, if you booked multiple trips with us and harvested one buck and ne doe your first trip (our limit), and then one buck and one doe your next trip, and on your third trip you harvested one buck and one doe, you would no longer be allowed to harvest bucks for the remainder of the season, There are no season limits for doe.

What type of deer are we allowed to hunt?

Hunters are allowed to hunt 8 points or better on bucks. We practice quality deer management, which means we allow the younger ones to grow so that they will breed more and grow larger.

When is the best time of the season to hunt deer here?

The best time of season to book for deer hunting is roughly near the end of January through February 10th.

How Large are the deer?

Mature Bucks range from 180-220lbs, Mature does range from 80-120lbs.

Is there a service to process the deer meat?

Yes and no. There is a meat processing facility within 10 miles of the retreat. We will assist you in getting the deer to the facility, but guests must pay for the cost of processing as it is a separate and unrelated entity.

Should I bring anything else besides my hunting weapons?

We offer complimentary fishing so bring your poles and tackle, Skeet shooting is available for an additional price and takes place off-site only a few minutes away from the property.
