Archery Muzzleloader, Rifle Elk Hunts
Archery and Muzzleload Season - Shot success in past years has been as high as 100% or higher! Most. of the hunters have had several shots or shot opportunities. In past years hunters have taken several really nice bulls. Camp is limited to six hunters per camp for the archery, muzzleloader and rifle seasons. Two hunters per guide for guided hunts. The majority of the bulls we harvested this past year were called in!
Hunt Style
Archery Hunts - We have had excellent success with bugling bulls. One of the biggest thrills in hunting is watching an irate bull shred a tree 20 yards from you. It is, without a doubt, some of the finest elk hunting Colorado has to offer.
Muzzleloader Hunt - This has always been our most successful hunt for taking trophy bulls. As in the archery hunt, we are extremely confident in our ability to show you trophy animals. It is truly a hunt you will not soon forget. Licenses are available only through drawing.
Rifle Hunt - In the past, we have had some excellent success at calling bulls in for our hunters. Several times hunters have shot their bulls at less than 20 yards.
Hunting Pack Trips
Archery, muzzleloader, and rifle hunts are all done in the “Weminuche Wilderness” and we are the only outfitter permitted for the country that we hunt. Our camp, which is located at an elevation of 10,300’, is reached by a 14-mile horseback ride. Camp is well equipped with a large canvas kitchen/dining tent. All tents are equipped with cots, foam pads, floors and a wood stove. All our hunts are limited to 6 hunters.
