I've been a member since March 2023

I'm an avid backpacker, snowboarder, novice nature photographer, stand-up comedian, with an extensive background and ability to build. ie. treehouses, custom kitchens and bathrooms, automated greenhouses... and the list goes on. I volunteer with at risk youth specifically around drug addiction (I've been clean since 2015) and I have a passion for people, understanding them, listening to them, helping them... I've come to learn that by showing up for others, I'm exponentially helping myself as well. But that's not my motivation, I enjoy helping others because I truly believe that's one of my purposes here on earth.

Hello. MY name is Willy Madison, I'm writing you from the beautiful mountain ranges of the Western Sierras. Having been fortunate enough to grow up in Northern California I've developed an innate appreciation and wonder for the outdoors. I love every aspect of what the woods has to offer, from fishing secluded alpine lakes, to covering entire ridge lines by snowmobile! I enjoy solo backpacking just as much as a group experience under the stars! I have vast experience in leadership roles, but also possess the tools necessary to sit back and watch the experience unfold organically while gently guiding (if necessary) this way or that. I'm a Leo with the personality of an extrovert, but also I've done enough inner work to not let my ego draw me into the need to be the center of attention. My people skills and ability to read-the-room have given me, what I would consider to be excellent communication skills. I have a decent knowledge of plant medicine, but an even better understanding of wilderness first aid. I keep my cool under pressure and think logically when others tend to panic. I could go on-and-on about how much serenity I find while in the wilderness but I'm hopefull I'll get the opportunity to express it in person.. perhaps when i pick up a "new-hire" packet?? ;)
